Well which is better fully clipped, every 3rd, or every other....I did a search but did see much on the subject. I picked on up new that is every 3rd if fully clipped is better Ill buy and install them, just wondering who had experience with this.

I have a every 3rd and that is what they put on the factory sleds....save a little rotation mass!!!!!!! So I wouldn't worry about it run what you got!!!!

Right

Okay, sounds like every third with stock driver is good then.

Yamaouch08, cut-it-out. SO you never like the ripsaw? From all the threads I have read most approved of the ripsaw..

I like it as long as you try to save the track and not rip it to shreds on random objects you will be fine!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, sorry about that!! LOL I just had bad luck with one delaminating, and I ride off trail alot and they don't cut it for that they trench real bad imo.

think about it, do you want rubber on plastic? when rubber gets hot it sticks, hot track rubber and hot slide plastic=more wear. if its metal on plastic, then you do not have to worry about it AS MUCH, Granted you get decent slides, like graphite, or the hiperfax.

Correct me if i'm wrong. It just makes sense in my mind.

hyfax will never touch the track the clips are the high points track is low point i was told every third was better because in low snow that area would help hold snow for lube for hyfaxes (just what i was told when i bought my ripsaw)

Clip it how ever you want, What makes sense is clipping it fully? why else would they do it? just to add to the rotating mass? that isn't much weight added anyways, not like it would be noticably by a trail rider, maybe the racing minded would cut weight whereever possible, just throwing my .02 cents out there.

I ran the hack saw on this Vmax 600 for over 3,000 miles and never saw any wear on the inside of the track. But, I watch my tension, I keep the track adjusted in the middle of the tunnel, avoid road riding, and low-snow conditions. Here is the track when i sold it with over 3,000 om the track....no kidding !!!

Great Track - wish I had it on my Viper
