Hey Guys,
I have stripped threads for the front bleeder on the the coolant rail of a 01 SRX. This was the first time I have ever pulled it (just bought the sled), good news is I got out some air, bad news the threads are toast. Any thought on repair (helicoil, or maybe tap it from 6mm to 7mm and possibly reuse the washer seal)? It was installed with some sort of loctite, did'nt loosen very easy.
Thanks

you can use a standard bolt with a copper washer and it will seal it, or you can go bigger. just do let the matel get in the water.

Do you mean tap the hole from 6mm to the next size larger in standard size?amatosrx said:you can use a standard bolt with a copper washer and it will seal it, or you can go bigger. just do let the matel get in the water.
