Was watching Snowmobiler TV today and they showed the Cain's Quest Endurance Race.It is about 2300 km's long and one hell of a race with temeratures in the -50 range, open waterways, rocks, thick trees, large cliffs..etc.The winners of last years race won on YAMAHA FX Nyto's.

There were a lot of parts breaking on sleds, but the winning team said they only replaced 1 shock for the entire race.Other brands like Ski-doo were breaking everything. Now this is a good all out test for sleds, and Yamaha comes out ahead. It was a cruel race,a lot of guys thought they wouldn't make it.Frostbite, visors icing right up,wore out your body to a point of breaking.Imagine running the final leg in the race at night and -50 temps.

lets go.We need sponsers also and some good hauling sleds that will take it.My luck I would go thru the ice somewhere or hit a rock...lol

My guess is if it's -25 I'm not making it past the first bar and or cat house.

From AP,

"50 minutes into the Cains Quest Endurance Race Bischof was heard saying "I'm out"

well the big race is starting.I am going on the web site and going to track the race. They have a web cam at different locations.Starting line cam also and I can track times of all the racers between checkpoints.Going for team #9...Yamaha's.It is -21 C there now,so that is great riding temps.

Cat Teams>>1 out
BRP Teams>>3 out..1 was disqualified
Polaris Teams>>3 out
Yamaha/BRP>>>1 out ..was disqualified
Yamaha Teams>>>1 out

So teams 3,4,11,14,16,19,32,18,23 are all out.My team #9 is still in (Yamaha)
There are still about 25 teams in all now competing for the cash.

22 teams left in race.Another Yamaha team #20 has scratched. This means there is only 1 Yamaha Team #9 left in race. Not fair that there are so many BRP and Cat teams compared to Yamaha. You would think that if Yamaha won it last year, that they would encourage more Yamaha Teams to enter..crap.Right now 4 teams in the lead are Doos and Cats... :o| #$%&*
The race is not even half over yet.A lot of guys are breaking down, these are new sleds yet.Interesting to see who broke down the most and what broke on their sleds.Seems like suspensions are #1 culprit.
