I just bought a 2001 sxr 600(switched from polaris and loving it) and was wondering what the differences where from an srx 600. Looking at the 2 sleds they look pretty much the same.

SXR has more travel in the suspension than the SRX, but the SRX, like Fox racing said, has triple pipes and power-valves, so more HP and alot faster. The low travel suspension of the SRX allows for awesome control on trails, rails around turns!!! But the SXR is better for bumps and jumps.

Also, note that while both triples, the srx motors are not the same as the sxr motors.
Back in the day when I bought my xc, had I known that you could add reverse to an SRX pretty easily and also long travel an SRX, I would have bought an SRX700.
I like my xc, but the srx is just an amazing sled.

Thanks for the info guys. The srx has to fly then because the sxr is pretty fast.

Going from a SRX to an SXR is like going from a corvette to a malibu.... I have both and know. Although the SXR takes mods very well. I love both of those triples.
