2003 viper converted to long track(136) stock clutching that i know of. has reverse.sometimes when loading off the trailer or stuck in a snow bank clutch slips and you can smell burnt rubber. Don't know if it slipping on primary clutch or secondary. nex time it does it i will lift hood. just give machine a little push ur tug and its good to go. is the gearing that different from 121 to the 136 long track. is it possible secodary spring is tired / unit has 6000kms on it. Any help would be great

is the belt sucked down in the secondary when stopped? check real quick to see if you secondary spring is broke. could be a weak sec spring if the belt stays tucked down. when is the last time you cleaned them with a scotch brite pad and some break cleaner. i have a 136 with a 1.5 camo on it. your clutching or gearing arent the cause of the smoking your belt something else is going on on. going from 121 to 136 and your clutching prob isnt optimal but it should still go ok. also check the pucks on the secondary.
