Hey Guys,
I'm a military pilot that just moved to the state of Washington. I'm on Whidbey Island just north of Seattle and was looking for a local rider who could maybe show me the spots to ride and give me a feel for mountain riding. I'm originally from Ohio, so all I know is trail and ditch banging. I would appreciate anyone who is in the area.

Darn Tootin'
Hi, my name is Ding, I'm from Michigan, and I have no friends
Sorry couldn't resist . . .
This is a great site for Yamaha info and good people, but you might want to check www.snowest.com out if you aren't already a member. Lot's of good people over there too. Yes there are far more nuts, but it does have more members and it comes with the territory. Be sure to visit the TY site often too.

Hi I'm Bischof and I have no friends either.
Ding was once but he decided he was better off with no friends than having me as one.
BTW ikeever, do you like gladiator movies?

Friends ???
Hey...ikeever.... What are you paying for friends...???
In this "new tighter economy" I bet you can "Buy for minimal $$" a friend pretty reasonably!!
Too bad your so far north. I am south & east of you here in Central OR at the eastern base of the Cascades. Its only about 600 miles, hey...whats that, roughly a 70 minute flight??? LOL!!
My wife has a few cousins up in Whidbey, nice area.
As someone who moved here to OR from WI back in 85, I know that the mountain riding will be quite a bit different for you than what you did back in Ohio. Hope you find someone who can show you around.
So, what type of aircraft do you fly??
I am a bit of a aviation buff & am impressed by what we have flying these days. I am really a WW2 buff & just finished reading the book B17's over Berlin. I have flown in a B17 twice & WOW, what a bucket of bolts & tin!!
I cannot imagine being in one of those at 25,000', no heat, 50mm shells & flak all over, flights of 10-11 hours in primative at best conditions!!
Have a good one and THANK YOU for your service!!

hey rob,
thanks for your reply, i fly the p-3c orion. its pretty old, although not a bucket of bolts and tin...it is pretty old. i've also flown for the navy, the t-34c and the tc-12 super king air. soon on my list will be the p-8 possiden. its a 737-800 basically with weapons and not full of seats...ha.
i do know that the riding up here will be a lot different, i will continue my search for someone to show me around. i'm hoping to find someone before spring.
