I have a 97 sx700 that I am installing 02 viper front shocks on. I have done some searches here and found out the I need to remove the top mounting bracket that is on the sled now, and bolt the new shock directly into the bulkhead. The one thing that I am unsure about is what bushing am I suppose to use there. I have found a couple different one searching around, some one piece and others are two. Not having anything to look at, I am not too sure what I need. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks

I put a bunch of stainless steel washers on mine. It worked great. I think I have 6 total. But it always depens on the thicknes of the washers....Nick

You know, I kind of thought about that. That does not cause any kind of wear with that rubbing metal on metal, because that bracket needs to pivot there right?

When I did it I really did not thought about it, but when its on the brackets it is still rubs with the metal bracket right...? Beside if you just do alonger inner bushing the shock will move back and forth if you know What I mean...

Somebody else might chime in......I could not found to much info when I did it a few years back either....

when I did mine I used PN#8CR-2376B-00. It is a one peice bushing that replaces the bracket.
