does anyone know if cylinders from a 97 600 xtc are interchangable with my 96 600 xt thanks for any replies

Don't remember why but I know they aren't. Different part #'s too.
The 97's use four bolts on the reed side, the 96's use 6

Yep i have heard of people changing both jugs and the head i believe to the 97 style not sure if there are any gains by doing so.

The porting on the 97 is a little different. I used 97 jugs and reeds/intakes when I rebuilt my 96. If you're changing one, I'd try to change both so they are the same. Pistons should work in either.
