I have a 98 VMax XTC 700 and I'm wondering if there are other stock pipes that would fit this that are more performance-minded. I don't want to go aftermarket because of the noise and I respect my neighbors. Any suggestions, or do I have to buy the neighborhood ear plugs?
Thanks
Thanks

there is nothing you can do other then tripple pipes as far as exhaust....did you do any other mods like head gasket, reeds and clutching.
The Benders are very quiet pipes for the redhead... just because they are aftermarket doesn't mean they are obnoxious. Power incs and SLP's are very loud. I was really surprised howmuch quieter my buds Benders are compared to my SLP's.

So far, the machine is bone-stock. I have thought about clutching or reducing the gear by a tooth. I figure a great way to make some more power is by making the engine breath better and reduce a little stock weight. If the Bender pipes aren't loud, I think I'll look into them.
Thanks!

Thanks!
