We're leaving for the cabin in the morning. Still got a few things to do to my sx. Might have to make any adjustments to the track and ski alignment when I get up there. I still have a little to when I get home tonight. Hopefully the trails aren't too bad. I'll be bringing some tip-ups, so at least I can try to catch a few fish, also. If anybody is in the hibbing area, and want's to stop by, we're 4 cabin's up from Bimbo's, the cabin with the brown a-frame in front. The wife wants to head back on Sunday. If the weather's decent, I push for leaving on Monday morning. I'm excited to see how she (the sx, not the wife) runs now that she's all back together.

Got back last night. As I posted on another thread, the Taconite Trail was pretty good, considering all the rain they got last week. We spent most or time within an hours ride of the cabin either way. The main trail was all right, the spurs were so so. The sx ran well (101 mph, recorded on the GPS), and it rode well. Thanks for all the help from everyone on this site. I love the apex helix (51/43) and the 22 tooth top gear, really snappy. I did foul a plug on Sat night, but I found a loose plug wire at the coil for that plug. I almost beat my brother-in-laws rs Vector, had it not been for that fouled plug.

I think that I might of ripped by you if you were out riding on saturday..... I went by a couple sx's on the taconite. I was riding my srx 600 and I was riding with a 40th anniversary rtx fx nytro. I went from the cabin which is on wasson lake next to swampsiders snowmobile club to cook and then to orr and back on saturday. It was on the way back between 5:00 and 7:00 when we went by a couple groups with a sx in them......

My brother-in-law was on his RS Vector and the two of us were out around that time. I remember we passed a couple of Yamahas, could of been you. We went a little past 73 and then turned around, we promised the wives we'd be back for dinner at the Viking, in Bear River.

nope.....it is real close about a 15min snowmobile ride or 10min in a car. I really like that area up there....that side lake area is nice too..Ive been there in the summer on the lake! This summer I was up visiting friends up at McCarthy beach when they were camping. Very nice!
