00 sxr 700 reverse what is this part?

I have a 1/2 to 1 '' long by 3 mm wide. It is over shape and it made out of aluminum or steel. When I was taking this apart last year I thought it was a magnet but it is not. It came out of my reverse kit but the parts fishe does not show it anywhere. Do you know what this is?

Thanks guys for the info. I am trying to get my cogs back in with the reverse case and it has been a year since I messed with this.

I will check the fiche out to see where this goes. I also got to figure out what is the purpose of this.

right I do see what you mean. I had this taken apart a yr ago. It ran great before it was taken apart. Brakes and all worked good. Now back to the garage to work on the sled.
