2 Questions.
1) What year is my sled? Serial number 86m-003318. It is black with red letters and is the rounded body style. I was told it was a 90 but some times I think it maybe a 89.
2) Do I have the updated needles so that my sled will not burn down? The needle are numbered 6FL68. If not where is the cheapest place to get them?

your sled is a 89. i believe you have the updated needles as the old needles were i believe 6dh7. now there was also a needle jet change with that as well from a q-6 to a p-6 needle jet. check yours.

Thanks, I will have to check the needle jet to see if it was updated as well.
RPC racing recogmends the 6DH4 needle for 6000+ elevation, is that a updated needle that is better for highier elevations. I ride at 6-9,000 ft, have a pipe, knife edge port job ( very very mild), and was just curious if I should go to that exact setup.
