I am getting my thought together on getting the chain case together and ect...
I ran across this issue. I am trying to figure out why there is no outer seal here on the bearing. If there is no seal the grease will all come out onto the other seal that goes around the shaft. Is this right or wrong?
This is the bottom bearing on the case. Picture shows the front and back of the case.
thanks

it's bathed in chaincase lube.It seals with the seal pictured and the little collar with the o-ring that is on your drive shaft adn or jackshaft, Both upper and lower are done the same way.in my chaincase there are no seals on the bearings. Wouldn't make sense.

Well somehow finally I came across so info. the inner cover acts like a shield to keep the metal shavings out but are coats the driveshaft, bearing, & outter rubber shield lubed. I do believe this is a good idea but I wish I could keep more fluid in there but this idea does work.
