I have an 1996 Vmax XT 500. I found that my clutch roller bushing were bad and swaped my clutch out for the clutch on my parts sled which had good roller bushings 2 weeks later all but 1 of my roller bushing had torn all the busing material out so I ordered 3 new rollers (89.95$!) I put them on the next week, the inner bushing got tore up after only a few days. WHAT IS GOING ON? Does anyone have any Ideas?

Gotta get a complete rebuild kit or go for a Comet or Polaris P-85. Once the factory clutch has a worn sliding and cover bushing, it's gonna eat up roller bushings at a furious pace. Many on here have been down this road.

Were can I get a complete clutch rebuild kit? Royal distributing were I usually get my parts is out of stock any other ideas? That won't break my buget like the OEM pricing.

Yamaha does sell a rebuild kit. I think it's around $140.00 but does not come with weights or rollers. I think you would be better off finding the P-85 or a Comet 108 EXP. I picked up a brand new Comet last season for $245.00. Just watch E-bay.
