stick in the spokes

i recently tried putting a 2002 viper bottom end on a 1998 srx, cylinders and heads. I ran into the problem of the srx stater coil and flywheel being to large to fit in the 2002 case. The viper stater and flywheel does not have the same wiring harness and has a closer centerline pickup. Is there another stater and flywheel that will work?? or is there a way i can make this work?? I tried using the srx stater and the viper flywheel, there is spark when the engine is pulled over, will this be efficent to run the sled at a good preformance?? or did i just put another stick in my spokes??
