when you start the sled it wants to take off

Did you recently replace the belt? If you loosen the three bolts and turn the adjuster (counter clockwise if I remember correctly) it should fix the problem. The track should just barely want to spin when it's on a track stand once adjusted properly.

could it simply be reving too high? turn down the idle possibly?
