New here wondering what to do for next year with my 01 srx

Hi guys bought a 01 srx 700 this year and like it so far except a few things. First off its basicly stock except for a bender can and cold air intake, stock jets and clutching in the primary. It had a stock secondary until my jack shaft bearing went out and I ruined the secondary. So I got a used secondary of ebay and put it on. The guy said it came off a 98 srx 700 with a bender clutch kit on it. It seems to shift pretty good how it is but full throttle im at about 8600-8700 rpms.
I was wondering what you guys think I should do to bring em back down and what angle helix do I have. Also It seems to hang at idle a little to much for me sits at 2500 for about 30 sec then it will drop to 1800 and idle fine. Is this normal on these sleds i do have my fuel screws out to 1.5 turns and didn't change it much it does come down a little quicker but shes still hangin up.
Other than that i'm pretty happy with it I think next year I'm going to do a pioneer suspension lift front and back i knew it was a rough rider when I bought it but I need something better for these cornfields in iowa. Any one have there set up, wondering how it rides and takes the jumps my old exciter II aired way better then this srx

I would first recheck jetting, as you need larger jets for the cold air kit. Add 4.5 gram rivit or nut & bolt to inner hole on weight to bring rpm down a bit, add a little more to tip if it is still to high. open fuel screws a little more for the idle. oh ya, welcome to TY, great source for info..

Yeah I havent checked the jets myself yet. The guy I got it from bought it new and had the dealer put on the cold air kit and silencer. He said he didn't think they rejetted it cause the 2001 airbox doesn't have the dividers in it so it didn't need jetting. does anyone know what jetting should be with it I'd think maybe they would up the main jet a size is all. And does anyone know what angle helix i have its from the 98 srx bender clutch kit. I could get the part number off it if it would help id
 
I'll look tomorrow sleds been covered up sense we lost all our snow. Primary is completely stock as far as i know, what should be in it for rivets stock tec page has 8dn-20 with 17.2 and 13.9 stock are those the weights of the rivets in the inner and outer holes in grams or something else. Secondary is wrapped at 60 I think but I'll check again I just put it right on when i got it 98 bender spring and helix is all i know about it.
 
yes 8DN-20's are stock

you'll want 4.5 grams(17.2mm)in bolth holes..with 54/44 helix and a green secondary spring @60-70 is a good set up used around here also.you want
that 8500 target rpm for a stocker.
