Turk, I'm asking for your opinion on the recommended setup from SLP for a 2000 MM 700 with SLP pipes. Have you, or anyone else out there, tried this? Posting for a friend. Thanks.

SLP recommends this for above 5000' and stock airbox:

60 pilot
series 499 Q2 needle jet
135 mains
1.0 air
2 1/4 out on fuel screws
stock needle w/clip in #3

Would you recommend this for 7-9000'? My friend is currently running this set up, except he has Q8's and the needle clip is in #2. He is fighting a very rich midrange and only getting 6 mpg. Will the Q2 be enough of a change to eliminate the richness, since it's only .03 mm smaller than the Q8? Is a 60 pilot too large?

Thanks for your help.

135's are fine ...if you run in warm air! I would go up to 137.5's, the specs slp gives are merely a guide to get you started , fine tuning depends on numurous factors that you'll have to experiment with per your conditions! for an example , my slp spec. sheets say'" 65 pilots with a .8 pilot jet." there are just too many varibles for anyone to give a setup that will work for you. I;d suggest you get the correct jets that slp reccomends and go from there.

I had nothing but problems after I triple piped with Benders.
Order a holtzman ATTACC and forget about jetting.
Unless you desire to be right at the start of deto
trying to use every bit of HP. I have used an ATTACC for 3 years
It is a bit rich ( safe ) but with no real noticable power losses.

SLP,s specs are generally really good. I am not scared to use them as a good starting point wher as some of the other guys specs scare me.
