hey guys! i have a 99 srx and my 1 and 2 cables are wrapping around each other causing damage to the cables.it seems the servo is reversing and slacking my cables to the point where they come out of the pulley and tangle.all cables are in proper position and pvs properly adjusted. i have already ruined two cables ,changed them and changed the servo motor. I have checked rub through to the servo motor and can't see any place that would cause a issue.I have owned the machine for 3 years and pretty well know the ends and out of this machine thanks to TY, but this one has me stumped.Has anybody had this problem before? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

servo is activating properly, but occassionally it reverses and let the cables slacken, all cables are wrapped in pulley as illustrated in service manual. i have them installed again and test drove for 1/2 hour, so far it has been working so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.would a short cause this?thanks!

are ya shure the 1 and 2 power valves are not sticking open intermittantly and coming off the pulley when the servo returns to closed position? if not, may be a rub through down under the cdi.

had a spare servo that came from a working machine, swapped out and still the same, the temp light flashes 7 times indicating the servo code when this happens, what i don't understand is that it only happens occasionally . I went for a roast the other nite in some powder for 2 hours, worked awesome. then right out the blue it happened, lights flashed , pulled cover and sure enough cables tangled. i'll have to check the cdi for rub through just to rule it out. thanks for the input guyshttp://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=389655#
