Whats the proper procedure when breaking in a new belt...just take it easy for the first 30 miles or so....til it gets warm?

if you get th belt that ends in part # 01...just put it on and rideit like you stole it.....

Otherwise, give it a scrubbing with some dish soap, dry , install and ride,'
'
or

Install and ride a while then give it he!!.

the 01 belt is junk. it doesn't matter how you break it in, it will delamenate. went through 3 already this year on 3 different sleds!

i ususally take a wire brush and gently scrub the sides of the belt to remove the mold release and then wash it in hot soapy water....dry....then take it easy on it for as long as you can stand it......i have a hard time with this part....

I second that method, but I bought 3 then last year before going west installed them on my 8 yr old son's Phazer II and let him run them for 5+ miles
I got a kick out of how he was so pleased to help his father
