Bought this 2000 srx 700 used so the parts history might be a little suspect but I can't get any slack in the pv cables.Way to short. The outer housings reach the servo but there isn"t enough cable to wrap around the pulley without preloading the valve.I had a cable failure which required repair and once I pulled all the valves apart for cleaning and inspection it was a disaster.Number one was broken in half with paddle rattling around in the cylinder(end was mushroomed and wouldn't slide out so I had to pull the head and reach in to cut it off with a chisel/drill/dremel/etc.) and the other two had cable failure.I have replaced #3 cable with new but it is also too short. The original cables that failed were bottomed out in the servo with no lock nuts but this was obviously not right.I've done the procedure to get the servo pulley to the end of it's travel as per the tech page and it looks to be positioned the same as in the photos.Do Viper cables have a shorter inside cable?I think I have mismatched components but the cable I bought today at Yamaha is also very short. The locknut on the adjuster would have to be left off and it will still be touch and go.Anybody else run into something like this.

Disregard this post.Don't know what the hell I'm talking about.Killed a 40 pounder of Appleton's with the neighbor fartin' around in the garage and turned into a pinhead.Cables are fine.I'm going to bed.Sorry.
