Looking for any tips while i'm rebuilding my 99 srx 700. Pros and cons of offset key? Anybody try the reed spacers in the tech post? Any other tips? I want to keep it on pump gas and all day rideable! Just want to free up a few ponies while i'm putting back together. 2600 miles, the crank is being repaired, I will be installing new pistons, one jug, and powervalve. Anybody with an artic skid in theirs? All help is welcomed!

I can tell you reed spacers will NOT do anything for you. They are more useful on non-powervalve motor. I had some in mine & took them back out. Only thing they do is make the airbox harder to install.

I took them out also...I never noticed a difference
