Compared to the stock button clutch? How many degrees can I cut and still get the same upshift as the stock set up?

hey, stop playing in the water will ya......thought you were giving up your sleds in persuit of more of a challenge..women !!!!!! Don't forget to invite me to your wedding one day. LOL. Besides all this crap..what have you been up to anyways and where are you now?????

The ramps are not the same distance out as stock – so the leverage is different. …thus it’s a feel decision. I’m sure you are aware of that.

I think an aftermarket button helix is the best bet. Try this test – with the stock helix – pull as hard as you can on the belt…the sheave will not open….unless they have fixed this in the last few years. Put an aftermarket one same angle on and do the same – the secondary actually opens. This efficiency allows a steeper angle helix to work.

I have never felt any better performance – feedback from a roller …except the Team.

I think the whole idea of a roller is that you can cut the angle of the helix to a shallower one. The idea is that the roller will upshift with the shallower helix as good as a stock one with a steeper angle. Having a shallower angle helix will make it backshift faster and on a roller you kind of get both. As good upshift as a button secondary with steeper helix and backshift of the shallower helix. I tried a 51/43 on my srx once with a hauck roller, that didn't work because it felt like it was on a too high of a gear all of the time. Say the effiency is 3 degrees, I was having a 54 degree initial angle helix on a stock srx.

the hauck magnum shift roller, uses the stock yamaha and aftermarket billet helixs, so i don't see how the ramp distance from the center of the clutch, isn't the same.

I never played with that roller. if it has plastic rollers then the up/downshift will change as the rollers get hot & sticky. I use advant-edge rollers cus they use steel rollers on a steel cam.

I replaced mine on the Viper at around 9,500. Have just over 11,000 on it now, probably ought to look at them LOL!! The Venture is at aboout 7,500 and still shifts great.

Not A Stock Venture I Can Run 60+ Thru The Woods And Never Go Over Half Throttle . Its A Very Good Trail Set Up . The Last Helix Was 54/43 , Then I Got The Next Step Up . But Dont Know What It Is . I Got My First Ride With The New Iceripper Xt . Its Nice Not To Be Spinning At 40 Mph Any More, And The Old Track Was Studded. I Rarely Go Over Half Throttle , Those Trees Come Up To Fast . And With Ohlins Front End And Airwave Rear I Really Can Fly Thu The Rough Stuff

I have a great set up for a hauck roller using heelclickers. Contact me if you want it.
