I took a short ride to my inlaws about 5 miles away and the tors light came on and wouldn't rev up. Let it sit for a few seconds then ran fine. I then went to pull in there yard and same thing no power. Let it sit a few seconds and fine again. Pull it up to the polebarn checked the throttle cable it seened to have enough play in it. I then had to snowblow. That took about an hour. Start it up rode home no problems at all. Should I look at anything in particular or let it go. My only concern is we plan on a 150 mile ride tomorrow and don't want to brakedown. Also how do you overide tors so if it happins again I can get home. Thanks for any suggestions Jason

there should be 2 wires on the carbs..plug them in together.and the other 2 coming from the front of the sled plug them in together...they should be male and female...

Don't bypass it try to fix the problem first,

TORS is a pain when not knowing how to diagnose(no offence to anyone) IMO it's a great safty feature that should be keep working, the system is a simple circuit with a switch down @ the carb rack and one in the throttle
block then the CDI, if both switches are working properly the system will work.

there's 3 point's of attack here:

1- Check throttle free play (2mm) adjustment for that is here

2-3 check both switches, make sure there clicking and returning right, the
one up @ the throttle block you'll need to remove the thumb lever pin
remove the thumb lever and look down in you'll see the switch, stick
a small screw driver in and make sure it's moving good in and out..

also you can use a simple volt meter to check the switches out, just a
simple switch that breaks the circuit or completes it..

I surely didn't want to just override the system as a perminate fix. Just in a pinch to get back home and then fix . But I will check the switches first Thanks Daman
