Can anyone tell me if Yamaha offers a rev. kit for a 01 SRX? I know maxxximum offered one a few years ago. Any info on where to get one would be great. Also, (If I do locate one)how difficult are they to install?
the reverse is very easy to install...about 2 hrs. I would contact Port Yamaha on this one but I know they are available just cant remeber where I saw it.
Kevin at portyamaha said they never made a rev. kit for the SRX due to there being no room around the chaincase and the tripple pipes.
I did find out that maxximum does have one.They use the viper kit and remove a ledge from the existing chaincase.They diddn't mention anything about the pipes though.

I had the bolt back out of the lower gear and destroy my chain case on my 98 srx while I was north of lake st Jean. The dealer did just that. He used a viper chain case cover and cut off the ledge. I think I'm going to try and install reverse on my 00 srx. the sxr already has it. I'm going to lool and see what I can find.

max performance can aquire the kit. 599.00 with directions for the changes needed. basically just a matter of cutting of the ledge on the case cover and using a longer bolt to get around the oil tank.
