dim lites

Hi guys, can you help my 97 VMax has dim lights all lights. Sled runs fine.

Tough to say from your info.
Could be an old bulb.
Are you running any accessories like a face shield heater or GPS?
Does the headlight dim more when the hand warmers are turned up? When you hit the brakes?
One easy way to free up some juice is to go with a LED tail light

I,m checking out a 2001 srx tonight that has the exact problem that your sled is having.

Is the Vmax hard to start as well. I would ohm out the stator to see if it is still good.
My 97 is on its third stator. First one factory and the next two have been used.

The 2001 srx had a broken wire in stator.Causing dim light's

the sled runs great and starts fine .I'm going to put on a new voltage regulator tonight.

Voltage regulator would be worth a try.
