I have a 97sx700 as my second sled. It is in fantastic shape, 6500 miles but looks liek new, and when i bought it, it got new track, new skis, new shocks, new windshield, and went through top to bottom.

I rode it once last year I think. I keep it around as a spare for the most part, but I am thiking I would ride it more if I could make it into more of a ditch banger.

Looking to add a 4" riser or so, get the suspension higher both front and rear, get it to transfer weight better and wheelie.

anyone have any pics of sleds set up like this, or suggestions on how to make this happen?

thanks in advance.

i have my SX700 set up to ditch bang....... its got a SXR rear susp. (long travel) i put my handle bars all the way up.... im getting a 2" riser...... i have a hook on the left side of the bar..... im going to get a skid plate(a MUST!) handle bar gaurds, mtn grab bar, possibly a SXR handle bar (2inches wider than SX bar) and im problably going to be making a new seat using metal tubing and a dirt bike seat.... to make it more stand up friendly......

in ur case get the Viper rear suspension or monoshock or anything better (m10- m12)
and get long travel front susp. if u stick with anything with a "W" arm in the susp. reinforce it with metal plates..... well thats all i got..... for now

Long travel the front , ditch the pro-action[my personal choice], 2-4 inches of bar rise. A flat top seat, or riser, or like I did, flat top the stock seat and it will allow for quite aggressive riding. Mods are a matter of how much ya wanna spend.
