I bent a trailing arm on my V max. A new one from Dennis Kirk is 66$. On here a used one is 100. Are the dennis kirk ones weak or something? I feel like I am missing something here, Thanks for reading-Drew

Not sure on the quality, but if you are picky on the used one you can get decals and the right color....Angles also might be diferent so if you are going to do an aftermarket maybe you should do both...? You will also need to press out a bushing where the arms attach on to the tunnel.....So at that point you might be better off going with the used one, better fit, right color, decal, and faster to replace....Just my opinion

The ones that Kimpex offers (what most online stores offer) are weaker than the stock ones. There are aftermarket arms that are stronger than stock, but are usually more money.

My wife bent one on her 01 600 sxr last year. Hit a stump. I bought one from Dennis K. and was pretty disapointed with it. Fitment was good, but i dropped it off the seat and put a big dent in the side of it. It seems like it felt a little lighter too.

I absolutely hate Kimpex products. There shocks are junk and last maybe a season or 2 and cannot withstand much. If you stay on smooth bumpless trails with I think are extinct and stay under 35 the Kimpex would be OK. I bent my shock coming off a 18 inch high jump at 25 mph. I am not impressed.

I have the kimpex arms on my sled, I matched the paint pretty good (you have get close up to see the difference) and put decals on. I've put 400 miles of pretty hard riding this year. I think they're OK. I put one on last year, and one on this year. I did bend the one I put on last year, but I think a OEM one would have bent too, I hit a road sign pretty hard in Dec. It was snowing pretty hard out at the time.

P.S. When I put the first one on last year, I had a friend of mine helping me, he's a pretty good welder. He looked over the welds, and thought they were OK. I'm not sure If I could say there was a weight difference in the kimpex ones. They felt the same to me and my buddy. I bought mine from Pat's Small Engine in Isanti, they are the web, they were even cheaper than Dennis Kirks.
