mopar1rules:: it is gurgly on the bottom end now. i will run 93 octane or higher for now on and i will leave my sled to stock settings now. right now i am 2-1/8 turns out on the fuel screws and i still have the idle hang for about 25 sec.

if your all gurgly now, return the fuel screws to 1-7/8 turns out and just drop the idle to be like 1500 like BETHEVIPER suggested in another topic. that way you won't have to set the bottem end so fat, to try and get the high idle gone away. and only run 93 octane from now on.

LMAO

Where I live, all fuel comes with ethanol. Its a crappy law. My buddy is a bulk fuel dealer and he says If it isnt Shell or Esso (Exxon maybe?) its bunk.

I orderd my parts from rich and should have them early next week. i will give this a try and report back. another question, how do i get more wash on my pistons?

got her back together and she fired up nice. put idle to 1500 and put the jets at 1-7/8 turns out. while on the stand herd a clicking noise. i looked under the sled and holysh*t, my w arm was cracked and bent all to hell. the front shock was bent and the front of my rails were bent and cracked. what a year, got a new skid comming early next week. rought winter for me so far. I'll keep it posted once i get the skid in and go for a ride.

Holy my buddy has an 03 Viper ER and his blew last weekend. He took it apart and it looks identical to what yours looked like same cylinder, everything. His only has about 1000 miles on it. He said he was running 87 octane at the time and he had added gas line antifreeze as well.

the 87 octane you got from the pump is probably really 83 octane or something like that, and then you add in gas-line antifreeze and you will get booooom. did your buddies 87 octane have ethanol in it?

hey guys same thing happened to me second time this year the engine went with mine i had two powervalves pull thru and no the werent stuck they were spotless but anyway burnt down pto cyl took out cyl and rod bearing and cracked the crankcase as for fuel it was the first time i fueled up with non-shell premium at a lake im not sure what type of fuel it was

Well from the sounds of it I think everyone will be using 93 octane from now on to help the triples from burning down. This whole last last was very weird. I wonder what is going to happen this year? :letitsnow
