my gas gauge now reads full all the time ? was working fine till 2 weeks ago?

Can you tell if where the float is?

I haven't looked in the tank with a flashlight, I can see the middle of the sending unit rod without one, I will use a flashlight to look to see if the float came off or is stuck, thanks.

the gauges normaly are resistance to ground i would look for a rub through in wireing harness unplug sender if it gos down then its from plug to sender if wires ok could be sender
