Anybody have any tips on this? I replaced two cylinders and all pistons in my 2000 SRX and runs great but I can't get the coolant to bleed out of the screw on the manifold. The coolant is warm and is warming up the underside but the cap stays cool. I have let it warm up and took it for a couple trips around the yard but I don't want to overheat it.

I normally run it with the cap off for a few minutes at a time and squeeze the hoses. The air will go to the top, so the screw on the manifold will not help bleed it. That's more for draining. My Exciter had a bleed screw on the cross over pipe under the seat, so for that one you could lift the back end to get the bleed screw to the high spot. I don't remember if the SRX has this. I only bled it once when I replaced the water pump seal.
