I was riding the other day and the sled just lost power so I ripped in to it and have done everything possible. it does idle but the minute I hold the throttle it sound like the torqs system is acting up but I know it's not. it has 125 lbs. of compression, has spark ,checked the reeds they look good. you can pull the plug wires one by one and it does effect the motor so I know it's not the coils. if anyone has anything else in there mind that I can check or how to fix the problem let me know. thanks josh

no I didn't clean them but if I spray gas in each carb it does'nt help it so it can't be a carb problem I don't think. but I will try it. thanks

Mains and pilots could be pluged, I'm still thinking that is your main issue. There is a great write up on the Tech section about carb cleaning, I will start there.

I had this problem on 2000 V-Max my carbs were freeze up and there is a sensor on the carbs that i unplugged and jumper them together it fix it. It turn out that all I needed to do was turn on my carb heater. I ask the dealer and he said that sensor could go bad and cause that problem but he said If you unplug and jumper it make sure the PARKING BRAKE IS ON when u start it because the sled may take off and it wont stop tell it hit something hard!!! I thing he said that it was $35.00 for the sensor. Hope this help.

thanks for the info guys but I think I figured out the problem I have a bright spark on one cylinder and the other two are dim so I ordered two coils I hope this works. thanks again guys

Before you hook-up those new coils and can't return them. Make sure it is not bad plug boots or that the wires aren't loose at the coils. I put new plug boots on and fixed the loose plug wire and my plug stopped fouling.

so it wasn't my coils i had them tested, now what would cause one plug to have bright spark and the other two to have dim spark. I am totally lost now this means back to the drawing board.

Wires, boots or the plugs.
I had a similar problem with mine. It now has Moroso blue max wires (solid core). I now have even spark on all three.

still working on my sled has anyone ever had the stator go bad and also make the coils go bad I heard that from someone. thanks
