just wondering if I move the needles up in the carbs if it would stop the idle hang on my sled I have tried everything and it still does it.

what have you all tried so far? did you try turning down the idle, like was suggested in another topic? what are your carbs set @ right now?

^^this is what fixed my hanging idle... My 02 was idling low (around 1500), so I turned it up a bit to get close to 1900... I turned it too high and sure enough the first time out i had a hanging idle. I turned it down an 1/8th of a turn trail side and it went away.
the carbs are at stock setting I just removed and cleaned them again and no change. Is there anything else to look for.

Daman, isn't this pretty low? I always thought the viper was to idle/run the smoothest around 1800-1900. Mine tends to vibrate quite a bit below 1500.

I've had the same thing with my son's viper. If i set the idle to 2-2200 it would hang everytime. Adjusted the fuel screws to 2 1/2 turns and no difference. Replaced the pilots from 45 to 47.5 and perfect! Factory runs them lean for emission reasons I believe.
I also went to 47.5 and makes it start easier idle better and no lean bog on cold days.

ajviper you are right the Viper idle is supposed to be at 1800-1900... It vibrates to much below that...
