Hi, I own the last TSS sled a -96 Vmax 600 XT. Standard lug height is as far as I can tell 19mm. Does anyone know what track I can safely put in without having to modify anything. i.e. the radiators. will a 25mm allow for enough clearence?

1.25" track would be perfect for your sled!
You're sure that it won't slap into the roof of the tunnel?
are you putting studs in ?

As english isn't my native language I am not sure what studs are. I am looking for a standard track for allround snowmobiling that fits without any modifications to the sled whatsoever. I mostly ride on the trail but even so 19mm is a bit to little.

Studs are metal ice picks that some people put in their track for icy conditions. A 1.25" (31.75mm) track would be great for the type of riding that you have mentioned! And it will fit without any problems. Camoplast has a variety of styles to choose from
Okay, thank you for the info. Would it be neccesary to change gearing and/or fiddle with the clutch as I imagine the new track would be heavier to pull due to the better grip?
I ran a 1" Hacksaw on my 96XT and that thing loved the new track. You could go with an 1 1/4 but I wouldnt stud (pick) it.

Diversion, you wouldnt NEED to do anything with gearing or clutching, its not needed
