Hello-anyone know if I have to pull the skid to replace the rear shock? If that is the case I think I will put the track in that came with the machine. Any advantage to having studs in it. Both tracks are studded but this is my first machine with studs. The only advantage I have seen so far is the ability to tear up my driveway and aerate the lawn.
Also anyone have a speedo cable they would want to part with. Mine is bound up . I ran some kroil down it but still does not work properly(binding). It is worn through from rubbing. I found one on E-bay but seems a bit much.

It makes it easier to pull the skid to change the shock, changing tracks is a little more involved than just pulling the rear skid but is not that hard to do once you've done it a couple times

You should just pull the skid, then you can much easier change out other worn parts to.
Its mainly six screws,2 on the chassie,2 on the rear brackets, and to on the rear iddlerwheels in the boggie, theese ones are to loosen the track.
When this is done, you just have to kick out hte skid, and replace any parts you need. You can also check bearings, iddler wheels and runners easliy then

Good luck!
