looking for a vintage sled.

I Am in serch of a vintage sled. I want to restore it. What model would be the best one to look at. as far as parts availability, price, ect?

My 338 GPX would be the perfect sled for you! But restoration is not necessary. It is excellent right now. Maybe some tunnel polishing and pipe painting, thats it. Starts and runs extremely well.

look for a 1976 440 exciter first year good looks and great fun.

i agree on the exciter. plenty around look on ebay lots thare now. i believe this snowmobile to be probably the best all round sled. they start easy, idle forever, fast enough to get hurt and extremly reliable....

I have my dad's first sled he ever bought. 1968 GP 396. It was supposed to be my restoration project, not going to happen. It's been apart for many years, as far as I know most all of the pieces are still at my house. Let me know if you might be interested.
