Hey, I need a nice replacement bar assembly for my son's '95 Phazer II. Looking at ebay item descriptions, it looks like the earlier bars are different? (80's sleds vs 90's sleds) Is this true? If so, what's the difference?
Thanks. Mike

they look the same in the part section but first 3 letter/number is different.

I will be parting out a complete 91 Phazer II which is basically the very same sled except color scheme as your 95. There is a slight difference in brackets from the Phazer (84-89 Series) to the Phazer II (90-97 Series) based on the bars I have seen. Could be wrong but in looking at older fairing mounts, ie: a 87 vs a 93, they were different. Might be just a subtle change, I have a older complete bar assy with speedoe etc that I will have to examine & compare to the 91 when I tear it down after this weekends ride.

Yeah, a lot of the eBay descriptions list the bars as fitting 84-89 Phazers but the photos appear the same. Something must not be the same if the part numbers are different.
I'm interested in a nice bar with working heated grips. My son's sled has a torn grip and broken kill switch. I could just fix these parts, but a nice complete bar makes more sense if I can find one. Sled was crashed last year due to no kill switch in a panic situation. Repaired with '96 SS hood and panels.
