87 exciter psi twin pipes help need pics they dont fit in..hood wont close!!!!

87 exciter 570 ..i bought some used psi twins i think the ones with the "s" bends and theya re in the sled but the hood wont close all the way i need pics to see how you fit them in..i dont wanta cut the hood so ill prolly move up the hinges on the front..
 

they were made for a 88 exciter 570 so idk..i got em off the guy and he had to cut his hood .ill post some pics of it soon ..do you have any pics of ur exciters with psi twins

but the hood dont close...looks like the PTO pipe dosent line up with the cylinder. my guess is those are the wrong pipes...
 
niether pipe looks like it fits right.they must be for something else.nobody would ever design a production pipe where you would have to cut your hood.
 
those pipes got to be for an exciter 2 or somethin,they look kind of different from my psi-twins,my hood closes right.The exciter 2's had a little taller hood,with the air-intakes going all over the hood
 
whell anyone want to buy them ....or anyone have have some psi twins for my exciter i could buy...
 
hmm too bad the pipes didnt fit,psi twins realy wake up those 570's...you should ask some of the real yamaha-guru's on the forum what pipes they are.i gues they are for exciter 2,but i cant say anything for sure

do you know anyone who has some psi twins for my sled for sale im looking for some..thanks
 
you could always check ebay.I dont know how easy they are to get over there in the states,but here in norway its real tough to find aftermarket pipes for old yamahas(i was lucky though).
