I can't speak for all of the skids out there but I put an M10 in my SRX 700 this year and the difference is truly unbelieveable. I read a ton on this site before I put the M10 in and as much as everyone praises the swap it's still an understatement. The M10 changed my sled entirely. You couldn't pry my SRX out of my cold dead hands now. I can ride the sled way faster and more comfortably now even if it's nothing but 2' moguls. The sled tracks straight as an arrow even when the trails get really nasty. Once you sort it out it seems to turn as well as with the stock skid or at least bloody close. I got a decent buy on my skid. It was out of a smashed polaris with 1000 miles on it and it cost me $600 installed. It's by far the biggest single improvement you could do I think. You can ride all day long never get sore and give your buddies fits on well groomed trails or when the going gets rough.

i recently installed an IQ skid in my SRX. honestly i don't know what the difference is between the edge and IQ although i know people with the edge swaps and they love them too. but i will tell you, this is a totally different machine now. i am still able to rail into corners like a could before and the ride through the rough stuff is a breeze compared to the no-action pro-action. i have heard nothing but great things about the M10 but i personally couldn't afford one of those at this time but at this point, anything seems better than the pro-action to me. I've read about swaps from arctic-cat, Polaris, the newer Yamaha mono skids, ski-doo etc and they all seemed happy with there swaps too. i spent a couple months reading up in these forums about skid swaps before i did mine, this site is a huge knowledge base and it helped me immensely.

I have an Edge skid in my 98 SRX... I took it to Tug Hill for the first run and it was amazing, I had it set soft and I was just floating over most of the moguls, some of the stuff was hitting me pretty hard but my other buddies said the same ones were busting them up too (3 Edges, 1 ProAction, 1 Mono) so I can only see a M10 or ExpertX doing well there. I love the transfer on the Edge too, we were lake racing up there too, I never took the time to set it up so the limiters were out a little too much, but I was pulling the skis up 12-16" and holding em for 100' or so, and I didnt notice much top end loss (speedo was still reading 115mph on long runs) not bad for a sled with 9600 miles on her. Skid swap made a heck of a difference on it.

I was wondering if anyone has ever put the Bender reaction mono in. With the kit I guess you still us the rails off the pro-action.The cost is still about the same as a M-10 but it mounts easier with stock holes I guess..
