97 vmax xct 600 twin e/r

Just to let you know I have no battery in this because it needs replaced.

Well I searched this a little and trying to figure out to things.

1st my water temp light stays on. I checked with 2 sensors. I checked it in cold water plugged in. I checked it it unplugged. I checked it once it cooled down a little ( this is just still on warm up stage) It will not go off no matter what I do. Anyone know how to make it turn off?

2nd On start up should anything blink? I never had anything come on or blink when I started it up....

thanks

battery may have to be in sled to make lights work properly,, seen weird things happen without, on electic start machines..

Well yesterday it was not on when I ran the sled. All was good and the light was not on. So I don't think a batt has anything to do with it.

Is there a way to turn it off ( like a test mode?)

still not off..

I looked things over and over. I think something is not right. Dead cold and it is on and will not shut off.

Anyone know how to test the wiring?
Anyone have a schematic for the wiring

This just sucks :o|

I fully agree..

Try putting a battery in it. ES machines of any brand have been known to do ODD things like this with no battery in them.

update...

Well it seems like it was the wire right behind the engine. All is good now. right where it curves below the engine. Anyhow it is fixed.

Thanks for all the help again guys... ;)!

Yes it was a rub through/bad wire combo... I am just glad you helped me out and I found out what the problem was. Now I can move on to the next sled in line.;)!

Thanks for all your help :bump:
