Anyone know if you can buy the Ohlins springs anywhere that came on the SRX's. I lost the spring off the shock.

Actually, are there any aftermarket companies out there selling springs? I priced one at Yamaha and its over $200 cdn. Seems a bit steep to me.

I'd say yes to aftermarket. Just need to be the same lenght. You could use yahaha's standard white spring also, just want to use same type spring on each side, red sx springs would work also.. It's hard to tell that much difference, but they are just a little softer.. I just picked up a spare ohlins shock complete on ebay for under $100.00. Just check it out time to time ( ebay) & pick up a set for around $200.00 US dollars.. good luck..

hey does anybody know for sure if Ohlins front shocks off a 1998 SRX will work on my Mountain Lite??? I know for a sled being parted out with them, I just dont know if they will fit.

I just had my shock rebuilt so I was hoping to pick up a spring for a decent price. Any idea of a company who sells springs? Even the standard SRX springs are 150.00.

If your shocks measure out to 13.5" long center to center eyelets than yes..

If you went to the trouble to rebuild an Ohlins shock, be sure to get a spring that has the right rate to match your setup.

ok I have to know how you LOST your spring,,lol.. I have a set of stock srx & sx springs, one silver, other white, seem to be the same diameter & tension. Not sure they will seat right. I should have my spare ohlins in the mail next few days, will let u know if they will work, as my sleds are 200 miles away, WITH NO SNOW.... bum.. maybe I can spare a set for u. but found mine online (ebay), two shocks and springs for $60.00 for stock sx..

well I would have to say no on using stock yamaha springs, as they are larger in diameter and come to close to the oil reservoir. sorry..

retainer

The spring retainer on the Ohlins and white ( SXR ) OE Yamaha springs are different and are not interchangable because of diameter of spring body and shock rod end
Like Whammy says . won't fit right.

Are the ohlins worth putting on ? i have a 1998 SRX 700 was thinking if i can find a good used pair to add them just waundring how much difference they acually make in the real wrold.

when u go through the rough stuff for a period of time is when u will appreciate them. they can be adjusted for compression and will with stand more abuse.

centre shock

It also can replace the centre shock on the newer Mountain proaction with the H arm. I had issues with the centre shock bottoming too easy and the Ohlin fixed it It doesn't fade like the stock Kayaba and the adjustability with the clickers is secound to none.
