Anyone else having trouble getting the shock extension tool from Advant-edge. Have been waiting since september and now with weekly calls to them I still don't have the tool. I guess they don't understand that trails open 12/1.

Not good, ...I was just about to order a set, guess I'll sit tight for the time being. What are the excuses?

At first they said they needed to make some, and now everytime I call they supposedly already shipped.

I'm pretty sure it was about $58 US for the extensions and about $14 US for the tool that you need to clamp onto the shock shaft.
http://www.advant-edgemotorsport.com/ I think you can download a catalog form their web site.

Is the $14 tool necessary or is there a way around it?

You have to use the tool. It keeps the shock shaft from being scratched or nicked. If shaft is damaged from say vise grips first time it strokes the seal will be ruined. Also had to use heat on the eye to break it lose.
pioneer performance has thease for 49$ but no tool
