Is there a particular way to place the thermostat back in the housing?I noticed there is a tiny hole in the backplate of the thermostat and there is a notch out in the exterior housing that covers the thermostat.Do I line the hole with the notch? Or do I place the thermostat with the fixed arms a certain position..vertical or horizontal?

It's ok,I found it in the manual.Hole in thermostat has to line up with the notch. Now if I can only find where I placed the 4 bolts that hold down housing. Can't believe I can't find them now.Somewhere in the garage....

Well!!!Got the thermostat all in,bleed the cooling system twice(as daman
suggests) and sled is on the snow again. No overheating issues today even on low snow conditions,no leaks of any kind and exchangers are now circulating coolant properly.River was just beautiful today for wot runs.Looks like they changed the forcast for next week now.Instead of 0 to 5 above C.,they are now saying -7,-11,-6 for Mon.,Tues and Wed. So looks good going into the weekend after this one.Calling for 0 and -1 for this weekend. So snow really isn't going yet..yahoo!!!!!!!!!Will be putting on more miles with the SRX.Hit 113 mph today with the 51/43 setup. Will go back to 47 helix and stock setup to see if I can beat 113.

How much you got on the ground still doug?
Hole?Notch?Geez I had mine apart in January to polish the coolant rail and can't for the life of me remember if I lined anything back up when I put it back together. What's the signs of a misaligned thermostat?bluemonster1 said:It's ok,I found it in the manual.Hole in thermostat has to line up with the notch. Now if I can only find where I placed the 4 bolts that hold down housing. Can't believe I can't find them now.Somewhere in the garage....![]()

daman ,there is still snow here.Got to 0C. today.Next week all -6 C's.I can follow the trail along ditches and get to the river. The river is right on now.Has a couple inches of fresh stuff on top of the hard pack.River is smooth now and can really open it up a bit.Can still do hill climbing along certain area's where the banks are steep.Should be good to go.My bud may come over this weekend and use my 600.We won't freeze at least.I can go about 30 miles north from me on the river to the flood gates.Going south is more icy,but may try it.I can go all the way to the US border if I want to.

fourbarrel..yeah it says to line up hole with notch.I was thinking if you turn the thermostat the wrong way,you may restrict the flow.I'll get you a pic of this from manual.

Bluemonster, the trails up in Lac Du Bonnett are still awsome. The winnipeg river is a sled haven. Must of seen about 300 sleds yesterday.... We went up into Nopiming Park and lots of snow there still. The trails were getting beat near the end of the day from all the sleds, looks like they groomed them during the week still though.Heading Back out there today. Dumped my sled off at the 59r by Birds hill park and went out. The ditches there are getting thin but when you get up on hwy 44 they get alot better. Still lots of snow up that way... Yes say the temps and Woo Hoo probably one more weekend of riding... Love it... Sounds like you had a decent run on the river....

I have been working in the Beausajour,Oakbank and BirdsHill areas for the last few weeks.I have noticed the trails were pretty decent yet.Coming back on Friday from North of Oakbank, noticed the trials were stating to look a little ragged..but still sledable.Enjoy your day, looks like this may be it.It is -8 C now so a good start, but going to +4 later...
