I am wondering if it is possible to put a viper hood on a srx? I was looking at the hood differences on the fiche but just figured I would ask..
It what bought this on is I like the 3 pipes on the srx plus the extra stock power. I like the viper hood, gauges, and headlights
So I was thinking about this and wondering if it is possible?
Also I do know you can use the stock srx pipes but I do not want to cut the belly pan out or have hood problems. It would be nice to have the 3 pipes
If you are going to say just run aftermarket pipes... No 2 reasons
NY does not allow aftermarket pipes plus I do not want to worry about jetting.
Anyone have any good input on this.....

can not run viper hood on SRX and can't run SRX hood on viper have to change belly pans for both. or make a hood out of fiberglass

I had a feeling that was going to be the answer. I was looking for hope on this one...
Well If I change the belly pan will the srx pipes fit under the viper hood ok? I thought it had that raised hood for a reason.
Well I am going to see how hard the belly pan is going to be to change out.

yupp.sell the srx & buy a viper..serioulsly though if you get it to work then you still wont be able to run the viper cdi & wiring harness in it without having problems down the road.to much timing in that box for your sled.i did this mod in a 2000 srx years ago.it was different but i had major problems later on..& you also will disable your dcs also..

Yes he did and I am trying to figure out what is better to do. I think both ways will take about the same amount of work. I am looking for the best of both worlds here.
