2000 Venture XL Won't Back Shift

I have a 2000 Venture XL that back shifts way late. The sled has about 3500 miles on it. I just had the clutch apart and the pins and rollers are fine.

This Venture is the fan colled unit with the 485 phaser engine in it. I also put a new belt on it but it didn't help it any.

Any ideas? New spring maybe?

Hows the buttons looking?

Are the clutches squeaky clean?

Also, has it always been like this, because they arent the backshift champs from the factory...
