I ride a 98 vmax 600xt and found a brand new set of AAEN pipes (50 miles) for 300.00

Is it worth playing with pipes? or just stay factory? are these good pipes?? do I have to re-jet or clutch up??

thanks guys.............
p.s
I was planning on putting a can on just to loose 13lbs off the sled, so I figured I would ask about these pipes as a form of hp and weight reduction.

If this is the 600 triple i can tell you the day you put them pipes on there is the last day you ride with the stock exhaust on that sled. Once jetted them pipes will never cause that motor any problems and you will feel the extra HP. it is not a set of CPR's but none the less FUN and I would do it to any 600 tripple

you will have to rejet and clutch.

I did a set of pipes on that motor and IMO not worth it!
If you want the sound, get a can. You won't see any noticeable gains with the pipes!
