02 srx
heelclickers,h/c red spring
52/44 helix with a green spring
rigt now the front suspension is lowered and straped
rear skid ,limiters all the way up and front coil over 80% tight
rear coil over loose and transfer rods hve no top spacer and the large one in the bottom
what gears ? 20/40 i will need to buy
jetting? i've read everthing from 135 to 145 mains ? any experience here?
pilots?
ad wheels to the skid or run a slide rail lube system?
cool down cart does anybody have any cool designs on how to built one?
where do you guys plumb in the quick connects?
Is there a sled /rider weight limit? (like to put my wife on it 110lbs)
anybody know where i can get a cheap timing system?
what kind of times should i looking for as a goal?
Any and all help ,ideas or advice will be appreciated
I have searched threads on grass drags on here and have picked up some info Kevin even make this a pinned thread for others? forgot ,i need a tech vest, srxbully had one last year(i'll try him again) ,but if anyone has one let me know

feel free!
Your gonna need a silver secondary spring.
Man, it,s been too long & I totally forgot what to run for jetting & gearing as i never wrote anything down. I think yammiegod still runs an srx on grass & he can help ya with the jetting & gearing. I do know with hc,s on grass you need a silver secondary & I would use a helix with a slightly higher finish angle.

THE TRAIL STOCK CLASS COSDRA OFFERS IS MEGA- BITES ONLY. I LIKE TO SEE YA RUN 192. 144 MIGHT BE A HAIR LITE. NOW 20- 40 IS CORRECT ON GEARING. H/C SET-UP FOR GRASS WORKS GREAT BECAUSE OF THE GREAT TUNEING OPTIONS. JETTING USE 133, 132.5 132.5 WITH A 55 PILOT. COOLDOWN CARTS ARE EASY, YOU HAVE TO HAVE ONE ESPECIALLY ON THE GRASS. THEY JUST GET TOO WARM AFTER A RUN AND THAT WILL ROB HP. ALL YA NEED IS A MOTORCYCLE BATTERY, HOSE, PICNIC COOLER, AND GO TO A BOATING CENTER OR A RV PLACE AND GET A BILEGE PUMP. YOU THAN WILL NEED TWO SETS OF CPC QUICK DISCONECTS FOR YOUR COOLER AND SLED. ALSO YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR THERMOSTAT. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS. FEEL FREE. I WOULD ALSO CHECK WITH COSDRA ON THE RULES. IF YOU CAN RUN A 5.8 TO 6.0 IN TRAIL STOCK, YOU BE RIGHT THERE. ESPECIALLY IF YA HAVE A 110 DRIVER. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I HAVE RUN COSDRA. 3:16 (yammie tony)
trail stock you should be running 5.6"s to 5.7"s
I ran 127.5 ,mains under 60 ran 130's
50pilots
fuel screws 2 turns out
.5 air jets
turks right on the silver sec spring.
I ran a 8ch beldt for 500ft.
20-39 gearing.

i have all the parts you need for a "poor mans" coolant cart, including quick disconnects. let me know if your interested. also, most the parts for an ultra trick cool down system. components are a little more involved monetarily but really a slick concept.

its pretty much as yammiegod mentioned above, but lost the lid for the cooler. i used a portable jump station as opposed to the motorcycle battery. the jump station holds a charge alot longer. motorcycle batteries drained to quick for me. the other consisted of a deep cycle rv battery, an electric fan and radiator, with fitting for 1" lines and a pump from an rv, attached to a 2 wheeled hand truck with pneumatic tires. basically your cooling the water with the fan and radiator. with the ice chest set up, you had to buy about $20 worth of ice per day of racing. basically, if its hot out and you dont cool the water, your just pumping hot water back into the engine. one cool down will kill a block of ice, sometimes more.

i like the rad idea (it may be quite feasable for me .where do you guys tie into the sled as in 2 quick connects (i can them easy)
i installed the quick connects on the hose that goes from the recovery tank to the stat housing. it was easy to get to on my sled. you need to be able to access it quickly and easily. another good spot is the hose connecting the footboard exchanger to the rear exchanger. run without the bumper cover. this area is a little tight, so an extra piece of hose is needed(dont use the form fitted factory hose). probably a safer spot so as not to be dumping cold water to a hot engine, although i never had any problems with the first location. the radiator idea works great. i used a radiator from an 80's nissan. small, yet functional. the elec fan was around $80, the rv pump about $100. add some hoses, wiring, toggle switch, imagination, beer, shop time, handtruck $50, paint, beer, and youll have a coolant system others will envy and borrow when their ice is gone. kinda wish i still had that one, i put alot of thought and effort to it. another trick i used was a gas powered leaf blower for cooling clutches, and an infrared heat gun to monitor temps.

when i get to testing (i intend to try any and all suggestions) i will post how things are going.....i'm thinking i will be testing at a grass drag track witha timing system as well (cross fingers) thanks guys and keep em coming!
8BU weights loaded
Hauck orange
47/41 helix
front shock 60% tight
rear shock 2 1/2" from loose
135 main's
air screw 2 turns out
50 pilots
take off hyfax if they will let you, run lots of wheels
take off wear rods
144 studs-2 inside-one outside/ staggered
17/39 gears
use 8dn belt- it wont get as sticky as an8ch when it gets hot out
times--with this setup I ran 5.8s
you will have to check rules to make sure it is all legal where you race.
Good luck!!!!
