any body run an ice ripper track. looking for info- good or bad. slim
I put one on my viper this season. I had the stock track w/ 144 studs previously. I definately noticed a diffrence on how the sled hooked up. I went from stock to 1 1/4. The only issue I have is that if I'm not riding off trail or in fresh snow, the sled overheated alot. I'm gonna put a rear exchanger on and hopefully that will fix that. Also, the windows on the track arent wide enough to pull the slides through when changing them. Other than that, I love it.

The windows are wide enough, you just have to get aggressive with it and use some lube and some BFHs!!!!
I have not run an ICE ripper, but used to run an ice claw. They are fun because you can pitch them like a non-studded sled, but still have the safety of ice traction. You would loose a race with most studded sleds, but if beating your buddy down the lake isn't a priority I think they are great tracks. The lugs held up OK, but ripping a lug off isn't as much damage as ripping a stud out, and the likely hood of ripping up a heat exchanger is much lower. I have not not run an Ice ripper, but I would expect the hook-up would be much better than the 1" Ice claw, I would try one if I was in the market for a track.
i put a iceripper xt on my venture . now i can go insted of spinnig at 40 mph . the stock track ripped out some studs and left a hole 2X4 in the center . it dont matter if you got the power if you cant hook up . im happy with mine
