I bow hunt moose , deer , and black bear hear in Northern Ontario . I have harvested 2 moose with my bow , 29 deer , and 7-10 black bear's largest was 571 lbs 21 skull".

I got to learn the picture sizing and post some pics if there are other hunters here ;)! .

yes took up bow hunting 2 years ago. my goal was to not to go back to the gun, until i harvested a mature animal. maybe next year.

I have bowhunted about 6 years now. I have not yet taken a deer yet but when you spend about a day and a half in the woods it is tough. I plan on spending more time in the woods this year. One of the benefits of a tough economy. I have a Parker Hunter Mag bow with a few updates. I can hit a squirrel at 25 yards no problem.

I love bow hunting and don't see myself ever going back to a gun. Guns make it to easy and I like the planning and strategy as much as I do the actual harvesting of an animal. The best time you will ever have bow hunting is to shoot a turkey with your bow without the aid of a blind. Those suckers can see and hear so well that you have to do everything absolutely right to get them in close enough to shoot with a bow.

Been bowhunting since I was twelve along with rifle. Started Muzzleloader about 12 years ago and love that too. Luckly I was hanging around a group of friends that where in to bowhunting or there parents where in it otherwise i don't think i would have been interested. Also I have always had the fortune of private land to hunt and now have land of my own. Bow and gun together I have shot around 30 bucks, 12 Does and fawns, 1 Bear 200 pound dressed with the bow, and two Elk with the gun in Colorado. Only two bucks where big enough to head mount. I love hunting as much as snowmobiling, maybe more. Hopefully someday I can harvest a moose and an elk with the bow. This buck I shot this year on October 30 weighed 200 pounds dressed but was only a 8 point with a 13 inch spread. I'm 6'3" and 260 pounds. I would have never thought this deer weighed that much. Figured I was getting weak when I had trouble getting it to the truck and in the back by myself.

Yea I've been bow hunting since I was like 14 and I'm 20 now. I Love it. I've got a Mathews SoloCam and I've taken 1 deer with it so far. I also hunt during rifle and muzzleloading season. I took a doe last year during rifle season. Only about 110 lbs dressed but it was still not bad for my second deer. I hope to get more in the future, but its not about getting a deer to me. I just love to be out in the wilderness. Well good luck to all you guys and may you have good hunting this year.
PS: How Did you guys post those pics. I really want to post some of the pics I have but dont know how. If some1 could help me out that would be great, Thanks.

Ok figured out the pics. So the first pic is the deer I shot during rifle season from 135 yards out throught the trees and she was up-hill from my blind. The second pic was taken just short of where I shot the deer looking back at my blind. Rifle season is easier hunting but I think I made it harder by taking and making that shot.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate the complements. I'm also proud of that shot. All because on opening day we were driving to breakfast and I saw a deer on the power line of the property we hunt and so we stopped. Well when I walked onto the power line it was a 4 point buck gettin it on with a doe. Well I had my remington 270 with a round loaded. I put the sights on him and pulled the trigger. Well I missed and the deer ran away before I could rack another round. The only reason why I missed was because I was elevated about 30 yards above them and was about 120 yards away from them. So the shot ended up being too low. But again I made up for it with a dead on shot like I would normally make.

This Is Prbably The Most Difficult / Challenging Moment A Bow Hunter Can Encounter , Cow And Calf , And Have Only Got A Calf Licence. This Is My Dad;s Hunting Highlight He Shoots A Crossbow .
