hey i need help making a bellypan protector for my exciter 570 .. the bellypan is really beat up..im thinkin about making one out of dimond plate so it looks nice ..i saw someone did that and it looked really BAD A$$ ..
Get a holeshot plate from a vmax 600 and run it through a tabelsaw and cut an inch off the back side, use clamps to form it in place,i have done this and it worked.

Anyone ever form/use one of the Holeshot skid plates for a Phazer and form it to an Exciter? I was thinking of doing it as it looks fairly straightforward.
does anyone know where to get a holshot skidplate ??? i looked at spankys powersports they have them but it wont let me buy one online... the phazer idea would work great because arnt they based on the same frame just liquid cooled 570 and a 500 fan cooled motor..
so it will fit it if i just make it shorter ...will it fit all the grooves from the stock bellypansxr1000 said:Get a holeshot plate from a vmax 600 and run it through a tabelsaw and cut an inch off the back side, use clamps to form it in place,i have done this and it worked.

Watch eBay. One will probably come up sooner or later. Not as many sled item listings now, will be more closer to winter.

I made one using UHMW stock. Got the 1/8" material and cut it to fit, then riveted it on. Worked great and looked great too. Be super careful where you drill !

My Employer owns " HoleShot " and we are just wrapping up the '2011 production run of skidplates. They will be hitting the retail market soon.
You can order direct from us as well

hey there, i see you mentioned you work for holeshot/sportech. I was curious if you would maybe able to findout if they have any old stock sitting around for old exciter II low windshields? I would love to find one, and if i could find a crome one that would be fantastic for my SX.
I checked the website but only the current models are listed there.
Thanks
Nate

HoleShot is owned by Sportech, but we no longer own our windshield brand. That has been sold to Powermadd several years ago. We still private label some items as you can see on the web site, but 99.9% of all the powersports industry windshields are manufactured for the O.E.M's directly or companies such as Powermadd......

Any old stock Phazer II skid plates? I'd settle for Red, white or black.

I checked out their website, but all they listed for the Phazer II or Exciter were purple ones, I figured I'd give them a call after the holidays and see if they had anything else.

I purchased a new Phazer II skid plate about 2 years ago from Hi-Performance Engineeering, and am going to attempt to fit that, as best I can, to my '93 Exciter II SX. I think they had low-black Exciter wind screens too, if I recall. I have one on my Exciter and am pretty sure that is where I got it.

I just picked up a Sno-Stuff Pro-Glider skid plate for a Vmax. Probably not as nice a fit as the phazer, but looks like it will work just fine. I don't have it installed yet, but holding it up looks like a real easy install. I found it on Ebay. I don't think they make them anymore. Haven't been able to find them for the phazer anymore either. Running out of options on these old sleds. Lol

Yeah; can't believe they would stop making some of the more desirable after-market stuff for these sleds like skid plates or low-black wind screens and such.
